Who receives your information
- FormSubmit (formsubmit.co): our enquiry form uses FormSubmit, a form-delivery service. It receives what you type into the form and emails it to us. FormSubmit says on its website that it keeps form submissions for 30 days. We use it only to deliver your message to us.
- Google: if you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics processes analytics data for us.
- Our service providers: for example our website host and email provider, who process information only to provide their service to us.
- Legal and professional requirements: we may disclose information where the law or our professional obligations require it.
We do not sell your personal information.
Transfers outside the UK
Some providers, including Google and FormSubmit, may process information outside the UK, including in the United States. Where that happens, we expect them to apply safeguards recognised under UK data protection law.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to us working together: normally deleted within 12 months.
- Client records: for as long as the law and our professional obligations require. That is typically at least five years after the relationship ends, and often six or more.
- Analytics data: no longer than 14 months.
- Your cookie choice: held on your device for about six months, after which we ask again.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to give you a copy of your information, correct it, erase it, restrict or object to our use of it, and move it to another provider where that applies. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time, for example through Cookie settings in the footer of any page. To use any of these rights, contact us using the details above. We will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information. No method of sending information over the internet is completely secure, so please avoid sending sensitive details such as bank logins or passwords through the website form or by ordinary email.
